Hook provides higher than the average rates to convert gift card to naira or cedis, which is because we have the interest of customers at heart. So, you can be rest assured that the rate you see on this page is the best.

With that said, Hook remains the best site to sell gift card in Nigeria and also the best site to sell gift card in Nigeria and Ghana. What affects gift card rates?

Gift card rates are always a bit high during the festive period, like December. The end of the year is always a peak period for all industries, especially the e-commerce industry, a lot of businesses just want to stock up, which increases the demand for gift cards.

Hook gift card rates are above the market average because we have customers’ interests at heart.

Also, gift card prices increase during the holiday season, when many people are at home. This means more people are likely to play mobile games, which in turn increases the demand for gaming gift cards like Steam, Playstation, Xbox and Google Play.

However, in response to the end-of-the-year rush, the e-commerce market is bound to adjust, and so the demand for payment methods like gift cards will drop around January. This contributes to relatively lower gift card rates in the early part of the year.

In short, it’s all demand and supply. But rest assured, Hook will give you the best.

What Is a $100 Australia Apple iTunes Gift Card?

An Australia Apple iTunes gift card is a prepaid AUD-denominated voucher that adds credit to an Australian Apple ID account. It can be used across Apple’s digital ecosystem — though primarily for digital content purchases, not hardware.

With a $100 AUD Australia Apple iTunes gift card, you can:

    • Buy apps, games, movies, music, and books from the Australian App Store.
    • Subscribe to Apple Music, Apple TV+, and iCloud storage plans (on an Australian Apple ID).
    • Gift Apple credit to anyone with an Australian Apple account.
    • Sell the card for Naira on Hook for instant cash — the most popular use in Nigeria.

Physical vs eCode: Two Types of Australia iTunes Cards

    • Physical Cards: Plastic scratch cards purchased in Australian retail stores. Region-locked to Australian Apple IDs. Require image upload to sell on Hook.
    • eCodes (Digital): Delivered by email instantly after purchase. Easier to verify, faster to trade, and pay a higher Naira rate on Hook.

Why You Cannot Directly Redeem a $100 Australia iTunes Card in Nigeria

Many Nigerian holders of Australian Apple iTunes cards discover they cannot redeem the card directly from a Nigerian Apple ID. Here are the main reasons:

    • Region Lock: Australian iTunes cards are tied to Australian Apple IDs. Nigerian Apple IDs cannot redeem them without switching the App Store region.
    • Card Not Activated: If bought from a retail store and not activated at the point of sale, the card balance may show as zero.
    • Already Redeemed: The code has been used by someone else — a common scam with unverified online sellers.
    • Invalid or Incorrect Code: A typo or unclear printed code means the redemption fails.
    • Region Mismatch: Trying to redeem an Australian card on a US or UK Apple ID will fail.

Best Solution: Instead of trying to redeem an Australian iTunes card in Nigeria, sell it on Hook for instant Naira payment. You avoid region issues entirely and get cash in minutes.

5 Factors That Determine Your $100 AUD iTunes Card Rate in Naira

Understanding what moves your payout helps you trade at the right time:

    1. AUD/Naira Exchange Rate

The Australian Dollar to Naira rate is the primary driver. When the Naira weakens against the AUD, your $100 card yields more Naira automatically. Hook updates its rates in real time to reflect live market movements. At ₦700/AUD your card pays ₦70,000; at ₦1,000/AUD it pays ₦100,000 — a ₦30,000 swing on a single card.

    2. Card Type: eCode vs Physical

eCodes verify instantly with no risk of physical damage or unclear scratch codes. Hook pays up to ₦30,000 more per $100 AUD card for eCodes versus physical cards because of the lower processing risk and faster turnaround.

    3. Market Demand for Australian Cards

Australian Apple iTunes cards have moderate demand in Nigeria compared to US cards. During Apple promotion periods, end-of-year sales, and gaming seasons, demand rises and rates improve. Lower-demand periods (early January, mid-year) may see softer rates.

    4. Card Denomination

Higher-denomination cards ($200 AUD, $500 AUD) can attract marginally better per-AUD rates because they represent larger transactions. The $100 AUD card is the most commonly traded and most liquid denomination.

    5. Platform Choice

Different platforms offer different rates for the same card. Hook’s live rate calculator shows you exactly what you will receive before you commit — no surprises after submission. Always compare Hook’s rate against competitors before trading.

Tips to Get the Best Naira Rate for Your $100 AUD iTunes Card

Follow these strategies to maximise your payout on every Australian iTunes card trade:

    • Always choose eCodes over physical cards when possible — they pay up to ₦30,000 more per $100 AUD.
    • Check the live rate on Hook’s rate calculator immediately before confirming — AUD/Naira rates change throughout the day.
    • Sell during peak demand periods (end of year, Apple sale events) for better rates.
    • Trade promptly — do not hold cards waiting for rates to rise significantly, as markets can move either way.
    • Submit a clear, undamaged card image for physical cards — unclear photos are the most common cause of delayed verification.
    • Keep your card code completely private until the trade is secured on Hook.

Common Mistakes to Avoid When Selling Australian iTunes Cards in Nigeria

These errors cost Nigerian sellers thousands of Naira every week:

    • Buying from unverified sellers — risk of already-redeemed or fake codes, especially for Australian cards sold on social media.
    • Sharing your card code publicly before the trade is secured — the balance can be drained in seconds by scammers.
    • Uploading an unclear card photo — blurry or partially visible codes fail verification and delay your payout.
    • Trying to redeem an Australian card on a Nigerian Apple ID — this will always fail due to region lock. Sell for Naira instead.
    • Trading with Telegram or WhatsApp buyers — extremely high fraud risk, even for Australian cards.
    • Using unfamiliar platforms — always trade on established, verified services like Hook.

Safety Tips When Selling Australian Apple iTunes Cards Online

Protect yourself with these essential trading rules:

    • Only use verified platforms — never trade Australian cards with individuals on Telegram, WhatsApp, or Instagram.
    • Confirm the correct Hook app or URL (hook.ng) before entering any card details.
    • Screenshot every transaction confirmation and store it securely.
    • Double-check your eCode for typos before submitting — input errors cannot always be reversed.
    • Ignore any offer promising rates far above market value — Australian card scams are common.
    • Contact Hook support at help@hook.ng immediately if your card shows as already redeemed — do not try other platforms first.

    Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

Q: How much is a $100 Australia Apple iTunes gift card in Naira in 2026?

As of 2026, a $100 AUD Australia Apple iTunes gift card is worth ₦70,000 – ₦80,000 (physical card) or ₦90,000 – ₦100,000 (eCode) on Hook. The rate is calculated as 100 × the current AUD/Naira rate. Use Hook’s free live rate calculator for the exact figure before trading.

Q: Why is the Australian iTunes card rate lower than the US iTunes card?

US Apple iTunes cards have significantly higher demand in Nigeria and globally, and the USD/Naira rate is generally more favourable than AUD/Naira. A $100 USD iTunes card pays ₦140,000 – ₦155,000 on Hook, compared to ₦70,000 – ₦100,000 for the $100 AUD equivalent.

Q: Can I redeem a $100 Australia iTunes card in Nigeria?

Not directly. Australian Apple iTunes cards are region-locked to Australian Apple IDs. Most Nigerian Apple accounts are linked to the Nigerian or US storefront and cannot redeem Australian cards. Selling on Hook for Naira is the most practical and profitable option for Nigerian holders of Australian cards.

Q: Does an Australian iTunes eCode pay more than a physical card?

Yes — significantly. An eCode for $100 AUD pays ₦90,000 – ₦100,000 on Hook, while a physical card for the same denomination pays ₦70,000 – ₦80,000. That is up to ₦30,000 more for the eCode, because it verifies instantly without image upload delays.

Q: How long does it take to get paid on Hook for a $100 AUD iTunes card?

For eCodes, verification completes in seconds and payment lands in your bank account within minutes. Physical cards require image review and may take slightly longer, but same-day payment is guaranteed on Hook.

Q: What if my $100 AUD iTunes card fails verification?

Common causes include an already-redeemed code, unclear card image, or a mislabelled card type. Hook’s 24/7 support team at help@hook.ng will contact you immediately to resolve the issue. Do not try submitting the same card on multiple platforms simultaneously — this flags the code for security review.

Q: Which Australian denomination sells best on Hook?

Note: Rates fluctuate daily with USD/Naira exchange movements. Digital e-codes typically fetch ₦10,000 – ₦20,000 more than physical cards due to faster verification.

Why Does the Naira Value of a $200 Apple Card Change?

Several factors influence how much Naira you receive for a $200 Apple iTunes card:

    • USD/Naira Exchange Rate — The single biggest driver. When the dollar strengthens against the Naira, your card value in Naira rises.
    • Card Type (Physical vs E-Code) — Digital e-codes are easier to verify instantly and command a slight premium over physical cards.
    • Card Region — US-issued Apple iTunes cards consistently attract the best rates in Nigeria. UK, EU, or Australian cards may trade at lower values.
    • Platform Margins & Fees — Each trading platform applies its own margin. Hook publishes transparent, real-time rates so you always know what you will get before trading.
    • Market Demand & Supply — High buyer demand (common during festive seasons) drives rates up; excess supply depresses them.

Tips to Maximise the Naira Value of Your $200 Apple Card

    • Trade When USD/Naira Is High — Monitor the official exchange rate. A stronger dollar means more Naira for your card.
    • Prefer E-Codes Over Physical Cards — Digital codes verify faster, attract slightly higher rates, and are less prone to damage or scanning errors.
    • Sell US-Issued Cards First — US region cards fetch the best rates. UK and EU cards trade at a discount, so factor that in.
    • Do Not Delay — Gift card market rates can drop within hours when demand falls. Sell quickly once you have decided.
    • Use the Hook Rate Calculator Before Trading — Always confirm the current rate on hook.ng so there are no surprises.
    • Keep Your Code Private — Never share your card code on social media, WhatsApp groups, or with unverified buyers. Scammers can drain the card before you complete a transaction.

Common Mistakes to Avoid When Selling Apple Gift Cards in Nigeria

    • Trading on unverified platforms or with unknown buyers on social media — high fraud risk.
    • Sharing the card code publicly before the trade is locked in — the code can be drained instantly.
    • Confusing iTunes and Apple Store card types — each has different rates; always specify correctly.
    • Ignoring region restrictions — non-US cards trade at lower rates; confirm the card’s region before listing.
    • Waiting too long to sell — exchange rates and market demand shift daily. Hesitation often means a lower payout.

What Is a $500 Apple Gift Card?

An Apple gift card is a prepaid voucher — physical plastic or instant digital code — loaded with $500 in credit redeemable across Apple’s entire ecosystem. • Purchase Apple hardware — iPhone, iPad, MacBook, AirPods, Apple Watch — on Apple.com in supported regions

    • Sell when USD/Naira is climbing — every ₦10 rise in the dollar rate adds approximately ₦5,000 to a $500 card payout.
    • Always choose e-codes over physical cards — faster verification and ₦25,000–₦50,000 extra per $500 card.
    • Confirm your card’s region before trading — US cards earn the top rate; non-US cards listed as US will fail verification and delay payment.
    • Trade promptly — gift card rates can soften within hours of a demand shift. Indecision costs real money.
    • Use Hook’s free Rate Calculator at hook.ng — always verify the live rate before starting any trade.
    • Keep your code private — never share card codes in WhatsApp groups, Telegram channels, or on social media. Scammers can drain the balance in seconds.

6 Common Mistakes to Avoid When Selling Apple Gift Cards in Nigeria

    • Trading with unverified buyers on social media or Telegram — extremely high fraud risk with zero recourse.
    • Sharing your card code publicly before the trade is secured — the balance can be drained in seconds.
    • Confusing iTunes and Apple Store card types — mislabelling causes an automatic rate adjustment on Hook.
    • Ignoring the card region — a non-US card listed as US will fail verification and delay your payment.
    • Waiting too long to sell — exchange rates and seasonal demand fluctuate daily.
    • Using an unfamiliar or unverified platform — always trade on established, transparent services like Hook.

What Is an Apple iTunes Gift Card?

An Apple iTunes gift card — now officially called an Apple Gift Card — is a prepaid voucher redeemable across Apple’s ecosystem. Older iTunes-branded cards remain fully valid and widely accepted.

In Nigeria, most users cannot directly redeem these cards on Nigerian Apple IDs because Apple restricts redemption to the country where the card was issued. Selling for naira on Hook is the most practical and profitable option for most Nigerians.

What you can do with a $100 Apple gift card:

    • Buy apps, games, and in-app purchases on the App Store
    • Subscribe to Apple Music, Apple TV+, or iCloud storage
    • Purchase books, podcasts, and audiobooks
    • Buy Apple accessories on apple.com (AirPods, chargers, cases)
    • Sell it instantly on Hook for ₦105,000–₦145,000 in naira

Why Does the Naira Value Change Daily?

    1. USD/NGN Exchange Rate

Apple gift cards are dollar-denominated. When the naira weakens against the dollar, your card pays out more naira. When the naira strengthens, the payout drops. This is the biggest driver of daily rate movements.

    2. Physical Card vs. E-Code

Physical Apple cards — printed on card stock and sold in retail stores — consistently trade at a premium over e-codes in Nigeria. They are verifiable against a receipt, which reduces fraud risk for buyers and earns you a higher payout.

    3. Market Demand and Season

During festive seasons (Christmas, Eid, Black Friday), demand for Apple cards surges and rates rise. Trading during peak periods can add ₦5,000–₦15,000 to your payout on a $100 card.

How to Avoid Apple Gift Card Scams in Nigeria

Gift card fraud is widespread. Protect yourself with these rules before every trade:

    • Only trade on verified platforms like Hook — never with random Telegram or WhatsApp buyers.
    • Never share your code before payment confirmation. A legitimate platform verifies first, then pays.
    • Check your card balance before submitting to confirm the card has not already been partially redeemed.
    • Ignore rates that seem too good to be true. Scammers use inflated rates to lure sellers, then disappear after receiving the code.
    • Confirm you are on the correct URL: hook.ng — bookmark it to avoid phishing copies.
    • Read platform reviews on Google Play and the App Store before trading.

Why Your Apple Gift Card May Not Redeem

If you cannot redeem your Apple gift card on an Apple account, the most common causes are:

    • The card was issued in a different country than your Apple ID (the most common reason in Nigeria)
    • The card has already been redeemed by someone else
    • The scratch panel on a physical card damaged the code
    • The card was not activated at the point of sale
    • The code is invalid or expired

If you cannot redeem a card, selling it for naira on Hook is often the fastest way to recover its full value. Hook’s verification process confirms whether a card is valid within seconds.

    Frequently Asked Questions

How much is a $100 Apple iTunes gift card in naira today?

As of September 2026, a $100 US Apple iTunes gift card is worth between ₦115,700–₦145,000 in Nigeria. Physical cards earn the higher end of that range. Check Hook’s rate calculator at hook.ng for the exact amount — rates update throughout the day.

Which pays more — a physical Apple card or an e-code?

Physical Apple gift cards typically pay more in Nigeria. Because they can be verified against a retail receipt, buyers price them at a premium. E-codes (digital codes) are processed faster but may receive a slightly lower rate.

How fast can I sell a $100 Apple gift card on Hook?

Hook verifies Apple gift card codes almost instantly. Most sellers receive their naira payment within 5–15 minutes of submitting a valid card. E-codes are typically faster than physical cards.

Can I use a $100 Apple iTunes gift card in Nigeria?

Nigerian Apple IDs cannot directly redeem Apple gift cards because Apple restricts redemption to accounts in the card’s country of issue. Selling the card on Hook for naira is the simplest and most profitable option for most Nigerians.

Why does the naira value change every day?

Apple gift card rates track the USD/NGN exchange rate closely. When the dollar strengthens, your card pays more naira. Platform fees, card type (physical vs e-code), and market demand also affect the daily rate. Always check Hook’s calculator before selling.

Are there hidden fees when selling on Hook?

No. Hook builds its margin into the displayed rate. The naira amount shown in the calculator is exactly what you receive — no deductions, no surprises.

What other gift cards can I sell on Hook?

Hook supports Amazon, Google Play, Steam, Razer Gold, Netflix, Xbox, PlayStation, Sephora, Vanilla, and many others. Use Hook’s rate calculator at hook.ng to check the live rate for each card before selling.

    GIFT CARD – DEFINITION

gift card is also known as a gift certificate in North America, or gift voucher or gift token in the UK is a prepaid stored-value money card, usually issued by a retailer or bank, to be used as an alternative to cash for purchases within a particular store or related businesses. Gift cards are also given out by employers or organisations as rewards or gifts.

They may also be distributed by retailers and marketers as part of a promotion strategy to entice the recipient to come in or return to the store, and at times, such cards are called cash cards. Gift cards are generally redeemable only for purchases at the relevant retail premises and cannot be cashed out, and in some situations may be subject to an expiry date or fees.

American ExpressMasterCard, and Visa offer generic gift cards that need not be redeemed at particular stores, which are widely used for cashback marketing strategies. A feature of these cards is that they are generally anonymous and are disposed of when the stored value on a card is exhausted.

From the purchaser’s point of view, a gift card is a gift, given in place of an object which the recipient may not need, when the giving of cash as a present may be regarded as socially inappropriate.
